Here Are Just A Handful Of Things You’ll Learn:
Today on Smart Money Questions we chat with Walter Storholt, our friend and former co-host who runs Third Wheel Media. His North Carolina-based production company helps business owners across the country host and produce their own radio shows and podcasts, including this one.
In our wide-ranging talk, Walter tells us how the podcasting side of his business has grown tremendously and why working remotely during the pandemic has worked out well for him and his team.
We ask Walter about the future of podcasting and media, especially in the time of a pandemic. While podcasts have seen their listenership decline due to Covid-19, they have rebounded better than radio, which saw a bigger dip. At the same time, some smaller hometown radio stations are struggling to hang on.
“It’s been kind of a tough time for me as sort of an audio snob, especially, because I’m such a big proponent of quality and getting good audio quality,” Walter said. “(But) I think something that’s been kind of cool is the level of access has been lowered a little bit. More people can add their voice to the world … I think a diversity of voices is always a good thing.”
