Here Are Just A Handful Of Things You’ll Learn:
Headlines about money are everywhere these days – on TV, smartphones and social media. It’s easy to be overwhelmed and emotional about the state of your finances, but it’s crucial to be level-headed for your long-term financial success.
Some of the headlines we’ve seen in just the past couple weeks seem so dire that they make you want to click the link. Financial copywriters with no financial background know how to write the stories to sell whatever they want.
If you aren’t paying attention and understanding what you’re looking at, you can fall victim to what they’re selling. Not all articles are misleading, but you need to understand what is factual.
We saw a headline the other day that said “Invest Like the 1%.” The reality is if you look at books, such as The Millionaire Next Door, you find out that they aren’t doing any crazy investing. They are diversified, long-term savers with discipline.
Another headline said, “Become a Master of the Market,” and encouraged people to learn how to day trade by buying their course. It’s so important to recognize how they are playing on our fear.
We’ll share more headlines on today’s show and why you should be careful when listening to some advice. Listen to the full episode or use the timestamps below to jump to a specific section.
